In 1953, James B. Murray and Jean "Bunny" Murray established Panorama Farms in Earlysville, VA. They believed in thoughtful stewardship of the land, devoting their lives to conservation and community as they raised their eight sons on the farm. They remained steadfast in these values into the 21st century, guiding Panorama beyond conventional agriculture into successful organic composting and cross-country running ventures.

Jim and Bunny’s final act of gratitude to their beloved Panorama was to give their bodies back to the earth in peaceful, intimate, and regenerative ceremonies. Now in 2023, the Murray family seeks to continue their legacy and share Panorama in a new way, by welcoming natural burials.
