Dances of Transition

We are thrilled to be able to offer this incredible opportunity to explore self and season with Victoria Moyer, local ecosomatic practitioner, in honor and celebration of the autumn equinox. Read on for more details!

Join ecosomatic practitioner Victoria Moyer for a guided movement practice centered on the seasonal patterns in the transition to autumn and longer nights. We will explore solo, duet, and group movement and intuitive  dance practices that draw on the themes of fading, transition, balance, ephemerality, cycles, and gratitude. We will practice in the indoor barn space as well as outdoors in the meadows and woods, connecting with, learning from, and honoring the landscape, creatures, and memories that inhabit this special place.

Victoria’s movement form lineage includes Butoh, somatic movement, contemplative dance, and physical theatre.

Please dress for the weather and bring a yoga mat or blanket for lying on (camp chair if you prefer to sit). We recommend bringing water and a snack. And if sun or bugs are a concern for you, bring along sunscreen and bug spray as well!
